Featuring the finest trails in California’s rugged and forgotten Gold Country
The "Lost Sierra" is a 50-kilometer (32 mile) long foot race with a 18 mile short course option that starts and ends in the town of Graeagle in the Plumas National Forest.
We are so happy to share the magical place of Graeagle and the network of trails in the Lakes Basin and we hope you will be back next year! After all, we’re the same team that has produced the Downieville Classic mountain bike race and All-Mountain World Championships for the past 18 years. The Lost Sierra will follow the same successful model of the Downieville Classic; a high-quality racecourse, good food, tasty libations, live music and camping under the open Sierra sky. And like the Downieville Classic, 100% of the proceeds raised from this event go directly back into our Trail Maintenance Program to continue to keep these trails in amazing shape and help us continue to keep our local trail crew employed. Thank you!
